Description
We're hosting a user group at Siggraph 2009, featuring speakers from Digital Domain, Zoic Studios, and Tweak Software. We're working to create an agenda that you will find interesting. Here's what we have so far:
Overview and Best Practices
We will present some key features of the system and share some lessons we've learned over the past few years as we have been building, configuring, and deploying Shotgun at more then 30 studios of all shapes and sizes.
Digital Domain and Zoic Studios Present
![]()
We'll be joined by Ryan Mayeda of Digital Domain and Mike Romey of Zoic Studios who both will be presenting how they have implemented Shotgun into their pipelines and how they approach pipeline development in general. Read the announcement and quotes from Ryan and Mike here.
Shotgun and RV Integration
We'll also be joined by the guys at Tweak Software to demo the work we have done to integrate Shotgun and RV. We'll demonstrate one-click viewing of media in RV right out of Shotgun, and show Shotgun-aware tools inside of the RV player. You can read more about our integration project with RV here.
New Features and Development Roadmap
We'll demonstrate some new features, talk about how we manage our roadmap, and review what's planned for future releases.
Q&A and Discussion
The meeting will end with time for Q&A and general discussion about pipeline productivity and production tracking. We will then stick around for an extra hour to dive into details with anyone that want's to stay after class.
We're still putting together this agenda, so email us about anything in particular you'd like us to cover.
Note: If you have signed up for our private beta but have not received logins yet, please email don@shotgunsoftware.com. We'll set you up ASAP so you have access during Siggraph.
We hope you can stop by and say hello.
cheers,
The Shotgun Crew
